DMV's Vision Screening Standards
DMV is authorized to test all applicants’ vision under Vehicle Code §12804.9(a)(1)(E).
Anyone who applies for an original or renewal driver license must meet the department’s visual acuity (vision) screening standard. DMV’s vision screening standard is:
* 20/40 with both eyes tested together and
* 20/40 in one eye and
* 20/70, at least, in the other eye
So, I have 1, 2, but I don't have 3. It was 100. Do you think the optomotrist can make a lens for my right eye to bring it to 70 instead of 100? because I see fine with both eyes, and my left eye, but my right eye is far sighted with far away object (farther than the eye chart) ???
